Week 6 theme :)

This week's theme is Kodona, Ouji, or Dandy. They are all very similar and though, from what I understand, there are differences based on your personal gender/age/geographic location, they are very similar. This style is often termed "boy style". Male Lolitas wear this style often, and female Lolitas who wish to dress more masculinely will also don this style frequently. This particular style ranges from very casual to extremely elegant. Sometimes feminine touches (such as curls or female shoes) can be added.

Common elements of this style are pants that cut at the knee, lace, high socks, suspenders, and top hats. Make up and hair are usually minimal, though dark eye makeup is common.

Quick way to save money on the new Angelic Pretty accessories

They are selling rings that look like this (see pic below) for about $33 USD plus shipping. All the money can be saved by buying a bulk of ring bases, finding an old chess set at a thrift store or a garage sale (what material/quality you want is limited only by what you can find) and glue together. All the money was just saved...all of it.

This week is Shiro Lolita!

Like last week's theme (Kuro), this week's theme is based around one color. This week is Shiro lolita, which means that the outfits and coordinates are all white! This style is very very classy and often has layers of lace. Light, beautiful, airy makeup is seen here with cascading curls of hair. Sources unknown on all.

Week 4 already! This week's theme is KURO LOLITA! :3

Kuro Lolita is a style that has coordinates of only one color. In this case the color that is used is black. That means that Kuro outfits are all or primarily black. This is not to be confused to Gothic Lolita which has a slightly edgier feel and very different accessories. Kuro is still very classy.

Week 3 theme is Casual Lolita!!!

Casual Lolita is a very mild version of Lolita. It is extremely toned down and what someone who lives the Lolita lifestyle would consider "dressing down". It might take some practice but with some effort you can achieve some very cute casual outfits!

Everything is toned down. There are more solids, less accessories, and little to no makeup. Hair is down or up in a very casual style. Shoes can be varied (this is one of the places you'll see many shoes that are not traditional Lolita style). This style is modest and elegant just like the others but just more toned down.

Lion Tamer Lolita

This really cute lion-tamer cosplay lolita can be seen more here. The use of pink and white together in this case works really well instead of being over powering. Also the photos they took are SO CUTE! :3

This week's theme is Cosplay Lolita!

Cosplay Lolita is not really a Lolita style but it is important to touch upon. Cosplay Lolita is often considered less quality because it is often seen at anime conventions being worn by people who don't really understand the Lolita culture. It usually ignores regular Lolita standards and uses cheap materials. The hair is usually brightly colored and the makeup ranges (pretty much anything is free game.) If you choose to do this style of Lolita know that some Lolitas may look down on you. :) That being said, I'm going to try to show some cute styles of Cosplay Lolita, incase anyone wants to try it out.
