Brolita Appreciation

Since October when I met my first Brolita I've been a bit infatuated with them. Seriously, I love this so much I can't even explain it to you. So I searched long and far on the internet and found some of my favorites. ^_^ I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do, they're seriously so cute.

The last picture is of Cyril Lumboy of DollDelight. She's definitely not a brolita. :)

I was questioning it, I'll take that one down right now. ^_^ I was like...if that really is then DAMNNN. It was labeled Brolita so I was like...must just be super legit.

I had hardly heard of lolita fashion and certainly never heard of brolitas before I read this blog, but now I kind of wish I could look like that.. :(

Part of me wants to do this myself, but I am about 6 feet tall, so it would look wierd as hell.

You should! There are plenty of tall lolitas/brolitas. You just need to find what works for you. :)

I am sorry to revive an old post, but I ran up your blog looking for information.

I have been interested in lolita fashion for some time and defitely would describe myself as a closet brolita. I expect if I could get away with it I would be out regularly (schools are funny about rules for teachers). I have wanted to go to a convention or the like, but I am concerned. I am in my mid 40's now. I am senstive as to how women that could be my daughter might react to my being there. I can certainly handle being thought of as wierd, but I am concerned I might cause anxiety or make people uncomfortable. Should I keep it in the closet? Perhaps find an event in another city? I am open to opinions. I would be glad to talk to you off blog if that would be better. Thanks.

Personally I don't think age should restrict you. There will be people who are bothered, it is inevitable to be honest. But should you let that stop you? No. I don't know what the motivation you have behind wearing the fashion is but if it is simply a love for fashion no one can judge you. Wear your lolita like armor. There are some lolitas who are around your age that are killin' it so I say, rock it. :3
